Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the actions of russian authorities concerning the purposeful destruction of educational infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, which included repressive measures against Ukrainian teachers and scientists, russification, indoctrination of pupils and student youth, and purposeful destruction of educational institutions by shelling. Scientific novelty. Nowadays, the first doctrinal publications regarding destruction of the Ukrainian educational environment by the state authorities of the russian federation have only begun to appear in world science. They already have estimates that russia during the war deliberately destroys the educational field of Ukraine. However, they are not based on significant source material. Methodology. The author of this article in his research applies both general methods of scientific knowledge (analysis and synthesis, ascent from abstract concrete, system and organizational analysis, synergistic approach, modeling and forecasting) and special scientific methos (institutional method, comparative legal, statistical etc). Originality of research. Based on the analysis of data from open sources, the testimony of more than 1,000 eyewitnesses/witnesses of Russian crimes, which were collected by the Centre for Documentation and Research of War Crimes of Vasyl Stefanyk Pre-Carpathian National University, the author conducted an analysis of the actions of the Russian authorities to destroy the educational environment in the Kharkiv region, which was subjected to a destructive influence of Russian occupation. The results of the study will be useful for the implementation of the international information policy of the state authorities of Ukraine. In addition, the study of the means and methods of the Russian government, which it uses to destroy Ukrainian education, as well as the analysis of the consequences of the criminal actions of the Russians in the field of education, will provide a generalized picture for world science, which will contribute to counteracting the propaganda clichés of Russian pseudoscience, which justifies Russian aggression and continues to push Putin's propaganda about Ukrainian Nazis, liberation from the repressions of the "Russian peace", etc. Conclusions. The author of this article on the basis of testimonies of internally displaced people claims that destruction of the educational environment in the Kharkiv region is an element of russia’s genocidal occupation policy towards the Ukrainian nation. In his opinion, the shelling of the educational infrastructure in Kharkiv region by russian troops is purposeful, indoctrination and russification of Ukrainian children and youth is complex and is part of the russian genocide against Ukrainians, educators and scientists on the occupied territories of the Kharkiv region were subject to repression for their pro-Ukrainian position. The actions of military and political leadership of the russian federation in relation to the Ukrainian educational environment violate numerous international legal norms.
